If you missed our last dental campaign meeting, we have uploaded the powerpoint presentation put together by Martha Roberts on the state of dental health is BC. It is an overview of some of the major oral diseases, issues in the dental industry, the relationship between dental/oral health and overall health, and community initiatives to provide accessible and affordable dental care in BC. You can download the presentation here. It draws on the research done by Bruce Wallace and the Cool Aid Society done on poverty and dental care in Victoria:
Get involved in the dental campaign by taking a moment to fill out our short survey on dental care and send it back to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We also encourage you to talk to anyone else you may know who have a story to tell about the state of their teeth and get them to fill out the survey as well!
Note: Date changed for next dental campaign meeting!
The next dental campaign meeting will be on Thursday, March 11 at 6:30 at the Organizing Centre for Social and Economic Justice, at 672 East Broadway (at Fraser Street). See you there!
