The backbone of the APH is our organizers; therefore we are always looking for people who are interested in joining us and getting involved!

There are a number of ways to get active with the APH:

1. Become a Community Health Organizer: we need people to help us lead community health workshops with the People’s Health Series, the Women’s Health Series, the Immigrant and Refugee Health Series, and our other Community Health Workshops.  The demand for workshops consistently outpaces our ability to meet the demand, so if you are interested in training and getting active with us, give us a shout and we’ll make a plan on how to get you involved.

2. Join our Dental Campaign Committee: the ‘Smile with Dignity’ Campaign to include basic preventative and restorative dental care under the BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) public health insurance plan needs your support!  Send us an e-mail or call us to find out when the next campaaing meeting or activitiy is. Check out our tool-box:

3. Host an APH Workshop and/or Dental Campaign Activity: invite an APH organizer to come to your class-room, housing co-op meeting, community gathering, Church/Mosque/Temple and present on the ‘Smile with Dignity’ dental campaign or provide one of our Community Health Workshops.

4. Join the APH Core Collective: if you’re really fired up about People’s Health and Social Justice, consider joining our Core Organizing Collective.  The best way to join is by getting actively involved in the above activities, and letting an APH organizer know you’re interested!  Feel free to e-mail us or give us a call for more information on how we function.
